Yves Byrde, Founder and Partner of Optifin SA. Yves started in the financial industry in 1974, half of his experience was gained as a successful entrepreneur in the Alternative Investments universe. In 1997 Yves’s expertise and interest in Alternative Investments led him to launch a business focusing on this fast growing industry – Optifin SA. – a pioneering portfolio management company where clients’ assets are exclusively managed with alternative strategies.
In 1991, prior to founding Optifin, Yves had launched with a partner – Gesfinance S.A. – a financial advisory company for high net worth individuals. From 1987 to 1991 Yves was a Vice President with Bankers Trust responsible for the management of a portfolio of Latin American clients. A natural move from UBS where he spent 8 years – starting in 1974 as a trainee of their executive program, then taking a 5 year break to continue his studies before returning in 1984 as portfolio manager.
Yves has an economics degree from the “Universidad Autonoma de Honduras” and a post graduate degree in demography from “CELADE”, a specialized entity of the United Nations.
